Ag/AgCl & Hg/HgO Aqueous Reference Electrode Selection Bundle

Product Overview

The Ag/AgCl & Hg/HgO Aqueous Reference Electrode Selection Bundle combines two 6 mm OD reference electrodes for laboratories working across different aqueous electrolyte conditions. Use the R0302 Ag/AgCl electrode for neutral and acidic media, and the R0501 Hg/HgO electrode for alkaline media.

Bundle Includes

• 1 × R0302 Ag/AgCl reference electrode: 3.5 M KCl internal electrolyte, 0.205 V vs. SHE at 25°C, for neutral and acidic solutions.
• 1 × R0501 Hg/HgO reference electrode: 1 M KOH internal electrolyte, 0.098 V vs. SHE at 25°C, for alkaline and high-pH solutions.

Selection Notes

These electrodes are not interchangeable in every electrolyte. Select the reference chemistry according to the test medium and convert reported potentials consistently when comparing results obtained with different reference scales.

The Hg/HgO electrode contains mercury. Handle, store, and dispose of it according to the applicable SDS, institutional procedures, and local hazardous-material regulations.
